Hey Backers,
We are only five days away from the close of our APEX campaign! It’s been an incredible run so far, with over 1300 backers and $140K pledged.
As with most Kickstarter campaigns, pledges have eased off in the past week. We expect to finish strong as we approach the final days, so anything you can do to increase our visibility now is much appreciated! Thank you to everyone who has shared our campaign and claimed their paracord pull so far.
BACKERKIT
We want the post-Kickstarter experience to be easy for our backers, so we'll be using a service called BackerKit to manage reward fulfillment. You will be able to confirm your pledge reward and shipping address, and add additional APEX pens or accessories at special Kickstarter rates. We’ll then ship everything together with your reward!
If you’ve upgraded to titanium, we’ll confirm your upgrade in BackerKit, and we can fix any discrepancies in pledge amounts there too. (We know adding it manually can be a bit confusing in Kickstarter.)
We'll send an update with next steps for using BackerKit soon after the campaign closes. Please be on the lookout for this important update! We are depending on you to complete your information to ensure timely delivery of your rewards.

Stretch goal achieved, notebooks for everyone!

Another week, another milestone: we have passed our stretch goal of $108,077, which means… every backer gets a ZeroHour All-Weather Notebook!
But not only that... this is incredible to us, but we hit our goal at the EXACT dollar amount:
Isn't that crazy?! We even checked to see if someone was trying to be cute, and no, it was just an ordinary pledge for a titanium pen that happened to put our campaign at exactly $108,077. (This was the total amount raised in our first Kickstarter project.) Thank you to backer Iain from the UK for accomplishing this feat!
We knew we had an awesome everyday carry pen with APEX, but to have pledged over 1000 backers in 2 weeks is fantastic. We’re very grateful for your support, and we hope you’ll carry the waterproof notebook with your APEX wherever you go.
ONE MORE STRETCH GOAL
We have received a number of stretch requests since launch, but one repeated request has been to offer an additional titanium finish. Instead of the shiny polished look, stonewash finishing gives the titanium a more natural, rugged, less reflective appearance.
Every version of the APEX we produce has a minimum order quantity from our manufacturer. We need to have enough backers to justify producing several hundred units in another category, but we agree with our backers: we like the look of this finish and we want to go for it!
We’ve made it past $100K in two weeks, so if we pass $200K in the next 16 days, we will offer the stonewash titanium finish option to our backers! It will cost the same as our polished titanium option, and you will choose which finish you prefer after the campaign closes. (We'll even offer it separately, in case you want to add another APEX to your current reward!)

What an incredible first week! We are now passing $75K and have almost quadrupled our initial goal, which makes ZeroHour APEX the most funded tactical pen on Kickstarter!
